Marking Ramadan with Hillview Mosque

During the Holy Month of Ramadan, I was privileged to be invited to an Iftar with the congregation at Hillview Islamic Centre in Shettleston. In recent years, I’ve been delighted to forge a strong relationship with the Imam and many of his congregants who worship at Hillview.

I want to thank everyone for their warm welcome and recognise the immense effort that goes into Ramadan, a time when people fast from food for lengthy periods of time to strengthen their faith. Having just finished Lent, I was especially able to understand the importance of fasting and look forward to returning to the Mosque again soon.
