16 days of activism: Christmas Jumper Day

It's day 14 of this year's 16 Days of Activism and it's also Save the Children's annual Christmas Jumper Day.

So today, I've got into the festive spirit by taking part.

Make a donation to Save the Children.

Every December, millions of people across the UK put on a festive outfit at their workplace, school or with friends and make a small donation to help children and families in the UK and around the world.

The event raises funds for Save the Children, a charity which aims to protect the rights of children across the world.

Save the Children has long been working to combat gender-based violence perpetuated against children.

Over the past two decades, Save the Children has helped achieve a 25% global decline in child marriage and empowered 11 million girls to stay in school or pursue independence through work, allowing them to decide for themselves when they are ready for marriage and motherhood.

The work of organisations like Save the Children makes a big difference to many lives.

So if you can, please consider making a small donation the their Christmas Jumper Day fundraiser.

The Government will be match funding donations, meaning that your donation will stretch twice as far.
